Two hits in one

Inspiration comes from everything around me, although I rarely go looking for it. Most of the time it is unexpected and in those cases often the most surprising and emotive. One of my latest inspirations came from a Greg Klassen Instagram photo. As usual his River Table looked exquisite in the natural light, however, what grabbed my attention was the painting covering the back wall of the well-designed interior. This led me to my new art obsession, David Choe. It was the colours that drew me in at first, then the depth and the layers that build upon each other asking questions about the reasons behind the painting. Perhaps Choe's ability to be exaggerated and cartoonish links us in our design. A wonderful find.
