Industrial craft

I often wonder how craft fits with industrial materials, are they too heavy to be crafted, too manufactured, too...hard? In my quest to find out I came across Greta De Parry, a master wood worker who has done the ultimate dirty and strayed into industrial materials. In fact, what she has done is such a thing of beauty, my question seems to have been answered. Greta has successfully mixed concrete and metal whilst keeping the crafted, designer maker feel, something I live in awe of. I am a wood worker, like Greta, but that doesn't mean there isn't another way.
